Gas Lock

What is Gas Interference?

Gas Interference occurs when there is Gas in a barrel.

The presence of gas causes interference with the valves efficiency, as gas takes place of fluid, thus limiting the space and ability to compress gas.

What is Gas Lock?

Gas Lock occurs when Gas completely fills the barrel.

During a pumping cycle, both valves remain closed, fluid is not being lifted to surface.

Caused by lack of pressure in the compression chamber on the down stroke.
